1883 Local landlord opens a sawmill in Kohila Early
1903 Groundwood, paper production and paper converting initiated
1992 UPM and Kohila Paberivabrik create a joint venture to manufacture envelopes and Swedish binders
1998 Norwegian Lindegaard ASA takes over Walki Paberisto and Kohila Paberivabrik
1999 Manufacturing of lever arch files, ringbinders, dividers, pockets and flat files started
2003 Smead Manufacturing Company purchases stationery business of Lindegaard ASA
2008 MBO at Smead Europ, company renamed to Atlanta Office Products
2009 KP Factory OÜ rents all assets of Atlanta Office Products located in Kohila
2010 KP Factory purchases the rented assets
2010 On November 5th 2010, KP Factory has been granted a certificate for Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC-C102617) chain of custody
Sertifications
The certification was conducted by NEPCon, a partner organization to the FSC accredited Rainforest Alliance.
KP Factory OÜ’s Certificate Registration Code is NC-COC-009092 and procedures were certified based on standard FSC-STD-40-004.The certificate covers stationery items and main output categories are FSC Mixed and FSC Recycled.
